Wow. Well, if other career options aren't available, then I'm quite happy to fill your iPod with something good in the meantime! Do look into some of the commercial producers we occasionally mention on the show (Graphic Audio has an especially large collection) if you're looking for lots and lots of listening.

I'm betting the audio issue is related to the free conference call recording service I've been using (tends to right "hot" all the time). Hm. So much for that one then. I have a better method which I've been using lately which I think provides better results.

Thank you again for your interest and please let me know if you have any other feedback, positive or not-so-positive, about the show! All of it is much appreciated.

The sound problem I had was on this particular podcast, but I have noticed that it is much the same with Episode #84.
I noticed that it occurs on my laptop speakers (not as obvious) but also on my ipod Nano (2007 version). It is much more obvious when I use headphones!

I have decided to download all of your podcasts and go through a more of them because the work that I do is insanely tedious. I just recently discovered what podcasts were and they have become my LIFELINE!!! I have been reduced to tears on occasions where my ipod has been left at home and I would not survive my job if it weren't for people like you, so I will definately be giving your podcasts another chance, and I'm looking forward to more radio dramas!

Nikki,

Thanks for your comments, though I'm sorry you feel that way. I'm not sure which episodes you've listened to but radio drama does indeed make of the bulk of the show, I would say interviews are less than 25%. And as of late I've been releasing more episodes which feature uninterrupted hour-long shows and releasing interviews as bonus tracks rather than replacing the regular weekly podcast. There are hundreds of hours of radio drama up archived on the site and I think with a bit of searching, you'll find something you like.

As far as the technical question, that's a bit more helpful as I do proof all audio and it sounds OK on my end -- I wonder what kind of listening set up you have? (laptop speakers, home stereo, car, etc.) I obviously want the sound to be "normal" so you can listen to it in comfort!

Again, sorry about your frustrating experience so far but please give the show a chance -- I think you'll find that there is a ton of material even if you've gotten off on the wrong foot.

Let me know if I can help out in any other way.

Best,
Fred

I have listened to 7 of your podcasts so far, and I must say I'm very disappointed! They really just seem to be a big advertisement for people making these radio dramas! I was hoping it would be radio dramas themselves, that is what I Think people are interested in: listening to a radio drama, not listening to people talk about how great they are!

I would also like to add that the interviews I have listened to so far are frustrating in themselves, because the volume for one speaker is barely audible, and the next blasts the headphones off my head!

Hope my criticism is helpful...
